Terms & Conditions
Aurum Invest AB • Last updated: 2026-01-15
1.1 The Buyer is Aurum Invest AB, org. no 559458-4723 ('Aurum Invest', 'we', 'us'), which provides services under mittguld.se among others.
1.2 Aurum Invest conducts trade with used goods registered with the Police Authority in accordance with the Trade in Used Goods Act (1999:271).
1.3 These terms apply when the Customer sends items for valuation and potential sale to Aurum Invest ('the Service'). Specific terms may apply for certain products/services; in such cases, this is clearly stated.
'Items' = gold, silver, platinum, palladium, coins, bars, jewelry, watches, and other objects containing precious metal sent by the Customer to us.
'Gold Envelope' = the shipment the Customer orders from us (outer packaging/return packaging, security bag, instructions, and potential forms).
'Valuation' = our assessment of the Items' precious metal content, weight, and other relevant parameters.
'Price Offer' = the price we offer the Customer based on the Valuation.
'Investment Gold' = primarily 24K bars and coins (bullion), with/without certificates depending on the product.
3.1 An agreement regarding valuation arises when the Customer:
- approves these terms when ordering on mittguld.se, and/or
- signs accompanying instructions/documents in the Gold Envelope, and/or
- signs digitally with BankID where offered.
3.2 The Customer sends the Items to us using the Gold Envelope according to instructions. The Customer is responsible for ensuring the shipment is correctly sealed and submitted as instructed.
3.3 Upon receiving the Items, we perform a Valuation and provide a Price Offer. The Customer is informed via SMS/email and can log in with BankID if necessary to view information.
3.4 A purchase agreement arises only when the Customer explicitly accepts the Price Offer according to instructions. Ownership then transfers to Aurum Invest when payment is made according to section 6, subject to limitations under mandatory law.
4.1 The Customer must be able to prove their identity reliably and must not be under 18 years of age, unless the Customer can show the right to dispose of the Items.
4.2 The Customer shall normally be registered in Sweden and hold a Swedish personal identity number (or corresponding verifiable identity according to our KYC routines).
4.3 The Customer warrants that:
- The Customer is the rightful owner and has the right to sell the Items,
- The Items are not stolen goods, not subject to dispute, pledge, or other restriction of rights,
- Information provided is correct.
4.4 We have the right to request supplementary documentation (e.g., receipt, declaration of origin, power of attorney, or identity document) and to decline business if requirements are not met.
5.1 To establish authenticity and content, we may use technical and chemical methods, including assaying, acid testing, drilling, cutting, dismantling, or equivalent.
5.2 The Customer accepts that such inspection may cause cosmetic impact or that Items cannot be restored to original condition, especially for watches, hollow links, platings, composite materials, and settings.
5.3 Stones, non-precious parts, and other components: If Items contain stones or parts without precious metal value, these may need to be removed for correct valuation. We value the precious metal value as standard unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing.
5.4 We may refuse to purchase Items if the shipment is opened, damaged, manipulated, incorrectly packaged, contains prohibited items, or if origin/ownership cannot be clarified.
6.1 Price offers are normally based on:
- Measured weight and fineness (karat),
- Applicable daily rate/price list at the time of receipt/valuation,
- Any specific conditions for Investment Gold.
6.2 The price list on the website is indicative. The final Price Offer is established after physical Valuation.
6.3 Payment is normally made within 1 banking day after the Customer accepts the Price Offer. In some cases, payment may take longer due to bank routines, holidays, or external payment services.
6.4 Payment methods:
- Up to 100,000 SEK: Swish (or other specified payment service),
- Over 100,000 SEK: Bank transfer.
The Customer is responsible for providing correct account details. We are not liable for incorrectly provided account numbers.
6.5 Investment Gold (24K bars/coins): Price offers may be time-limited (typically 24 hours) due to market price movements. If a time limit applies, this is stated in the Price Offer.
7.1 If the Customer does not accept the Price Offer, we return the Items free of charge as registered/insured mail, provided the Items can be returned after tests performed according to section 5.
7.2 If the Customer has only sent Items lacking precious metal value or predominantly consisting of non-precious materials (e.g., steel, glass, plastic), these are returned only if the Customer explicitly requests it. In such cases, a handling/return fee of 299 SEK may be charged.
7.3 Withdrawal after acceptance (voluntary goodwill): If the Customer has accepted the Price Offer and subsequently regrets it, the Customer may request cancellation within 5 days of payment. The Customer must then repay the received amount before return occurs. We return the Items insured; a handling fee of 299 SEK may apply.
For Investment Gold, a shorter withdrawal period may apply (typically 24 hours), as stated in the Price Offer.
7.4 After the expiration of the stated withdrawal period, the purchase can normally not be cancelled.
8.1 When the Customer uses our Gold Envelope and sends via PostNord REK, PostNord's insurance normally applies up to 10,000 SEK per shipment, provided instructions are followed.
8.2 The Customer should save the submission receipt and preferably document the Items (photo/note on weight) to substantiate content in case of a claim.
8.3 Shipments sent other than according to our instructions are at the Customer's risk and are not covered by our liability.
8.4 Claims against carriers are handled by us to the extent we are the sender/paying party; in other cases, we may need the Customer's cooperation and documentation.
9.1 If a return shipment is not collected and returns to us, we store it for 30 days from receipt and attempt to contact the Customer.
9.2 If the Customer does not claim the shipment within 30 days, the Customer may lose the right to the Items, and we may, after internal checks, recycle/discard the Items.
9.3 Prohibition against processing by law: Items we have received must not be processed earlier than one month after receipt, to the extent the Act (1999:271) is applicable.
10.1 Aurum Invest is subject to obligations under the Act (2017:630) on Measures against Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing and conducts customer due diligence, risk assessment, and checks when necessary.
10.2 We may check the Customer against PEP and sanctions lists and request information on the Items' origin.
10.3 We have the right to decline or terminate business if customer due diligence cannot be achieved or if the risk level is deemed too high.
11.1 We process personal data in accordance with GDPR to:
- Establish identity and fulfill agreements,
- Execute payment and administration,
- Fulfill legal obligations (e.g., bookkeeping, trade in used goods, money laundering).
11.2 Legal basis is agreement, legal obligation, and legitimate interest (Article 6).
11.3 Data may be shared with payment service providers, carriers, and authorities to the extent required.
11.4 The Customer has the right to information, access, correction, and deletion under GDPR, subject to limitations from legal storage requirements.

13.1 We may contact the Customer via email, SMS, and phone to fulfill the Service (status, valuation, price offer, payment, return).
13.2 Marketing is sent only according to applicable rules and with the possibility to unsubscribe at any time.
14.1 We report suspected fraud, stolen goods, or attempted abuse to the police and may provide necessary information to authorities.
14.2 If a shipment contains obviously false/misleading Items or content lacking precious metal value, we may charge a handling fee of 299 SEK to cover tests and administration, or decline return according to section 7.2.
15.1 We are not liable for indirect damages or consequential damages.
15.2 Our liability for transport damage/loss is limited according to section 8.
15.3 We are not liable for operational interruptions, bank disruptions, or other events outside our control.
15.4 Force majeure: we are not liable for obstacles due to authority decisions, war, strike, natural disaster, transport disruption, or similar.
16.1 For complaints: contact us at [email protected], and we will try to resolve the matter promptly.
16.2 Disputes should primarily be resolved through dialogue. If a dispute remains, it shall be settled by a general court with Stockholm District Court as the first instance, unless mandatory law states otherwise.
We may update the terms. The version that applies is the one the Customer accepted at the time of ordering/agreement, unless the change is required by law or authority decision.
